Vivian grew up in the Cataño area on the northern coast of Puerto Rico “near the Bacardi factory”, where the Caribbean landscape encouraged her to earn her master’s in landscape architecture after finishing her 5th year of the B.Arch (both from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico). At home, Vivian loves recreating a tropical oasis that reminds her of her roots – fun fact, she has a medium size avocado plant currently still growing in water since the pandemic!
Vivian was also a professional dancer for 16 years where she trained in Spanish dance and was part of a dance company. The combination of design, architecture, and dance guided her thesis: a Conservatory of Dance in Puerto Rico.
