St. Louis Zoo - Herpetarium

Project Background

The Herpetarium is a Mediterranean-style stucco building with a clay tile roof. Originally built as The Reptile House in 1927 it was renovated in 1977. In 2002 The Reptile House was renamed to the Charles H. Hoessle Herpetarium in honor of the zoo’s Director Emeritus.
