Project Manager | Senior Architect

Jeremy Happel is a Project Manager and Senior Architect with nearly two decades of experience leading thoughtful, technically rigorous work involving existing buildings, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation. His practice is grounded in an appreciation for history, context, and craft, paired with a strong command of building systems and project delivery.

Jeremy brings experience across a wide range of project types, including higher education, hospitality, civic, commercial, and cultural facilities. He has led complex rehabilitation and renovation efforts involving historic structures, challenging existing conditions, and technically demanding building envelope interventions. Known for blending design sensitivity with practical problem solving, he helps clients navigate the opportunities and constraints inherent in stewardship of existing places.

At ICA, Jeremy contributes expertise in historic preservation, adaptive reuse, building enclosure rehabilitation, and project management, supporting the firm’s integrated approach to preservation and existing-building design.

Jeremy holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is a registered architect in Wisconsin and a member of the American Institute of Architects and National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
